ICA International Chemicals -
Manufacturer - Distributor - ViruKill - For broad spectrum
disinfection of surfaces against all poultry viruses, bacteria, fungi,
Mycoplasma, yeasts and algae. For disinfection of drinking water for poultry.
For disinfection of hatching eggs. For disinfection of the air in poultry
houses. Delays the spread of infectious coryza and Newcastle disease when used
to disinfect the drinking water and air in poultry houses. Active Ingredient:
Poly Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride (120g/L) Virukill is a novel patented
disinfectant whose active ingredient is a boosted “Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium
Chloride” (DDAC) manufactured by the ICA group. Our DDAC molecule is between
100-300 % more effective than all current generic equivalents. The active
ingredient of VirukillTM is effective against all Avian viruses and is also
highly effective against all bacteria, yeasts and fungi and Mycoplasma.
Whilst all generic equivalent chemistry is known to have low efficacy rates
against some Avian viruses and bacteria, VirukillTM can do the Job effectively.
Furthermore, VirukillTM is much less toxic than all generic equivalents at the
applications rates needed to combat Viruses/Bacteria/Fungi. VirukillTM has been
specifically researched and tested for the poultry industry, and is the only
product in the world which offers a practical and effective way of creating a
Sanitized Vacuum inside the Poultry houses. Because of its low Toxicity,
VirukillTM can be applied directly onto the Birds. Before the development of
VirukillTM disinfection in the poultry house was limited to before the placement
of the birds. Once the birds were placed into the house, disease control was
left to the use of antibiotics and vaccines. There are increasing problems with
both of these approaches to disease control. Because of the low toxicity and
high efficacy of VirukillTM the concept of continuous disinfection in
the poultry house was developed. By disinfecting the Air, the Ground and the
Drinking-water throughout the growing cycle, you now have a breakthrough in the
way you combat diseases. . VirukillTM offers a new and extra protection by
working on the ‘external’ pathogenic threat. Independent scientific trials show
that the full VirukillTM Sanitized treatment, results in better Feed conversion
ratios coupled with lower mortality rates. . Even more importantly, VirukillTM
can also be used to help combat the spread of Diseases in the poultry house, and
is compatible with all current antibiotic treatments. Virukill is the only
Poultry disinfectant registered in South Africa under Act 36 of 1947 (Reg No.
G2838) for efficacy against all poultry microbial pathogens on hard surfaces and
for being effective against delaying the spread of infectious diseases when used
to disinfect the drinking water and air in poultry houses during the production
cycles. Virukill has also been tested and approved for the use in hatcheries. It
is highly effective against fungi and can be used for the control of Aspergillus.
Furthermore, it has been demonstrated that VirukillTM is safe to use on the
surfaces of hatching eggs at any stages during the hatchery process. Virukill
has even been tested at very high temperatures for inclusion in the water used
for the humidify systems in hatcheries. In summary, VirukillTM is a complete,
one stop biosecurity product. It can be used for the disinfection of all
surfaces in Poultry houses during cleanout. It can also be used to continuously
treat the drinking water of the birds, since it is non-toxic and has no negative
effects on the performance of layers and broilers. It has also been demonstrated
in laboratory conditions and under field conditions that the use of
VirukillTM can limit the spread of infectious diseases, such as Infectious
Coryza, Newcastle Disease Virus and Infectious Bursal Disease Virus.
Furthermore, VirukillTM can be used for continuous disinfection during
production cycles, by, not only treating the drinking water, but
also by spraying or misting the birds during production (both layers and
broilers). Experiments under laboratory and field conditions have demonstrated
lower bacterial counts, lower mortality rates and even in some cases increased
feed conversion ratios. It has been clearly demonstrated that VirukillTM is not
only highly effective, but also safe and environmentally friendly to both the
birds and the operators implementing the bio-security. Due to the unique
properties of Virukill, the concept of continuous
disinfection in the poultry industry has been developed. It has been shown in a
number of scientific experiments that the continued use of Virukill throughout
the production cycle results in improved performance and greatly limits the
impact of infectious diseases. This product has resulted in a paradigm shift in
disease control and is revolutionizing disease control in the poultry industry.
